ODEL CAMPUS UNDERGOES MID-TERM PERFORMANCE EVALUATION FOR THE 2019/2020 CONTRACTING PERIOD

ODeL Campus and all its units underwent Mid-Term Performance Evaluation for the 2019/2020 Contracting Period on 25/2/2020. The Performance Management Reform Unit, TPMRU team under the supervision of Dr. Grace Kiringa noted that all units in ODeL Campus were adequately prepared in many areas. The units were encouraged to strategize on how to fill the few gaps that were identified during the evaluation.

The evaluators reported a great improvement from the previous year and were very impressed with the passion with which the ODeL staff were delivering on their commitments. The team was particularly impressed by the adoption of technology in providing additional evidence of achievement by Learning Centres whenever it was required.

Dr. Kiringa noted that indicators that could be achieved by Learning Centres were actually achieved and that those targets that were not met were higher than the level of some of the Learning Centres.

On his part, the Director ODeL Campus thanked all the staff for the commitment and enthusiasm they have shown while delivering on the mandate they signed up for. He was satisfied with the progress and remained confident that the remaining contracting period was sufficient to strategize and deliver on all the recommendations given by the evaluators.

The units that were evaluated include; Director ODeL Campus, Deputy Director ODeL Campus, Dean School of Open & Distance Learning, PID Programme Delivery & Learner Support, PID Courseware Development & Production, Chairman Open Learning Programmes, Chairman Educational Programmes, Coordinator Science Programmes, Coordinator Humanities Programmes, Coordiantor e-Learning, Coordinator RELLC, Coordinator Bungoma, Coordinator Kitale, Coordinator Kisii, Coordinator Isiolo, Coordinator Kitui, Coordinator Machakos, Coordinator Meru, Coordinator Nairobi, Coordinator Nakuru, Coordinator Nyeri,  and Coordinator Wote. Coordinator Embu was scheduled for 26/2/2020 while Coordinator Kisumu campus and Coordinator Mombasa CAmpus would be evaluated on 28th February and 13th March in their respective campuses respectifully.
