Bachelor of Education (Science)

Overview

The School of Open and Distance Learning in conjunction with the Schools of Biological & 
Physical Sciences offers Bachelor of Education (Science) degree in the Department
of Educational Programmes through Open, Distance & e-learning modes.

The Programme is organized into 6 semesters (Parts) of 8 months each.

Minimum Admission Requirements

  1. KCSE mean grade of C+ (plus) and a minimum of C+ in two (2) science subjects
  2. KACE with two (2) Principal Passes in Two (2) science subjects.
  3. Diploma or S1 holders in science and education with KCSE mean grade C (plain)/Division II
  4. Diploma in science with KCSE mean grade C- minus/Div III plus a professional Certificate from a recognized institution
  5. Trained P1 Teachers with KCSE mean grade C (plain)/Div. II
  6. KNEC Diploma in Science or its equivalent as determined by KNEC with a KCSE mean grade C (plain)
